The members were Martha Wash and Izora Armstead. They are best known for their 1982 #1 club and major pop hit, as well as subsequent dance anthem "It's Raining Men". Although the group is considered a one hit wonder by the mainstream pop market, they were previously known as Two Tons O' Fun, under which name they recorded the #2 American Billboard Club Play chart hit "Earth Can Be Just Like Heaven" (1980) and another #2 dance chart hit, (which also made #29 on the US R&B chart), "Just Us" (1980).
