After his first single, "Black Tee," which was written by Dakota Marley from Columbus, Georgia, was frequently played in Atlanta on urban radio, Davis earned a contract with Big Cat Records, subsequently releasing his debut album Trap House in May 2005; the album hit number one on the Top Heatseekers chart.[3] His followup albums Hard 2 Kill ,Trap-A-Thon, Back to the Trap House succeeded on the Top Heatseekers and Top Independent Albums charts.[2] However, a dispute between him and another rapper, Young Jeezy, erupted over the rights to Gucci's hit single "Icy."[3] In the summer of 2005, Jeezy released a freestyle song titled "Stay Strapped" used over the beat of "ASAP" by T.I. as a diss towards...
